The 3rd Ware Scout Group is situated in Broadmeads, Ware, Herts. The Group was founded in 1911 and is one of the original Scout Groups in Ware.
3rd Ware Scout Group offers excellent Scouting for all, with a blend of skills development, adventure, initiatives, play and fun. Our Beavers and Falcon and Heron Cub Packs provide the foundation for the Scout Troop, who regularly achieve top placings at district and county level.
3rd Ware were formed at the early part of the 20th Century when Scouting was very new and a rapidly growing organisation. From these early beginnings we have constantly been a dynamic and active Group within the town and District, adding Cub and Beaver sections to supplement the Scout Troop to make the 5 sections and some 120 young people aged 6-14 that currently enjoy all that we offer.
We want to mark our centenary in a number of ways throughout 2011, providing a number of activities and events that are applicable from time to time for differing age groups from our youngest Beavers to our oldest past members.
